Emirates Expands Chauffeur-Drive in Japan

Premium ground service now available at Narita and Kansai airports

Tokyo– Emirates is further strengthening its value proposition for corporate and premium travellers by expanding its Chauffeur-Drive service in Japan. From 1 February 2026, the service will be available to eligible customers travelling from Narita International Airport. Subsequently, Emirates will extend the service to Kansai International Airport from 1 March 2026. Already, the airline offers Chauffeur-Drive at Haneda Airport, ensuring consistent access across all major international gateways in Japan.

As a result, Emirates is now the only international airline to provide a chauffeur-driven service nationwide. For business travellers, this means greater predictability and fewer variables in one of Asia’s busiest travel markets.

Clear advantages for business travellers

First and foremost, time efficiency remains a key priority for executives and corporate travellers. With this in mind, the Chauffeur-Drive service removes uncertainty from airport transfers and simplifies end-to-end travel planning. Instead of relying on taxis or ride-hailing services, travellers benefit from pre-arranged private transportation.

In addition, professional drivers and premium vehicles ensure a consistent service standard. Consequently, business travellers can better manage tight schedules and reduce stress during peak travel periods.

The service is available to First Class and Business Class customers on eligible Emirates-operated flights. Moreover, it provides complimentary transfers between the airport and a customer’s home, hotel or office. This approach supports a seamless transition between air and ground travel.

Furthermore, at Tokyo Narita, Emirates enhances the experience with access to its lounge in Terminal 2. Here, business travellers can work, prepare for meetings or unwind before departure. In turn, this allows them to remain productive throughout the journey.

Service coverage aligned with key business regions

In general, each journey includes up to 100 kilometres, calculated using the shortest route. At Narita International Airport, coverage includes Tokyo’s 23 wards and major commercial areas across Tokyo, Chiba, Saitama and Kanagawa. Similarly, service from Kansai International Airport covers Osaka City and key business regions in Osaka, Nara, Kyoto and Hyogo.

Beyond this allowance, Emirates charges JPY 500 per additional kilometre, plus tax. Finally, customers settle any excess mileage directly with the driver, either in cash (Japanese Yen only) or by credit card.

Supporting corporate mobility in Japan

Overall, the Chauffeur-Drive expansion supports Emirates’ long-term strategy in Japan. At the same time, the airline continues to operate flights to Haneda, Narita and Kansai, connecting Japan’s core business centres with its global network.

Ultimately, by extending its premium ground services, Emirates addresses the core needs of business travellers: reliability, efficiency and consistency. As a result, executives gain a door-to-door travel solution that supports productivity, reduces friction and keeps them focused on business priorities well beyond the airport terminal.
